Any one know the internals of Samsung Blu-Ray players?

I don't know if there are any service techs or people more connected than I on this forum, but I'll ask around anyway.

I've got a Samsung Blu-Ray player that apparently has a bad Blu-Ray laser..it's a dual-layer rig and will still read DVD's, just not Blu-Ray. Anyway, if i can fix this thing cheap I'll be all set for when I get a 3DTV...but I'm having problems figuring out if there are any other compatible units other than what's in the thing already...which isn't available on ebay and if i could get it new would cost around $100.

I won't bore anyone else with all the details, but, if you might be able to help me, let me know and I'll get to postin.

Sorry for posting this in what appears to be a TV thread...it was the closest thing I could find for any kind of modern video equipment.....and I don't get out of AK very much.
