Another curb side find: Sony KV-1212

2 weeks ago, I saw this TV sitting upside down on top of the trash can on my way home at night. I didn't know how long it had been sitting outside, as it had some mud and road salt on it. The inside was still clean however, other than the usual dust attracted from the HV. The power cord had been cut off.

Don't know the manufacture date, but I assume this is a 1970 TV? So far, it works, but I am only getting about 1" of vertical deflection. Vertical controls have some, but very little effect. I didn't have time to really poke around in it, but I am guessing a bad, dried up electrolytic cap. I am going to buy an ESR meter soon anyhow. The picture I did get was good, although the background on the greyscale needs adjusted, as well as the focus. All the pilot lamps work (I just love TVs with lighted dials), and gets very good sound.

It is just missing the VHF knob and the Sony emblem.
