TVs that never got turned off.

Off the top of my head, I can think of at least 3 times when I've seen CRT sets which ran for years on end...solid state of course. Although the vintage Arcade game, Computer Space, used a General Electric tube hybrid b/w as a monitor, and arcade machines ran continuously as a rule...

But, it's always been pretty amazing how much use some tv's got and still kept going. We had a neighbor that took a used TV from me and ran it 24-7 for a few years before it got tossed. And as a kid, my grandparents had a small RCA color in their kitchen that was on for the better part of every day.

Kinda funny that manufacturers only usually guaranteed 2 years on the CRT.
