RCA Victor 2T60

Hello all,

Another day, another $20 CL special. Today, it is an RCA 2T60.

Would anybody be able to point me in the direction of a schematic for this set? This is only my third vintage set (my second was acquired yesterday!); I usually do radios, and the schematics are so much easier to find for them.

Also, I have a question about an unusual feature: as can be seen in the photo of the speaker compartment, there is a light at the base of the case. The bulb shines through an amber lens in the front of the case, and is shielded such that it can only shine through the lens (i.e. it does not provide illumination for the speaker area).

What purpose does this serve? My best guess is that it prevents you from stubbing your toe on the set while watching it in subdued lighting--it is in a very odd spot to be a "power on" indicator...

Thanks in advance for any help!

Photos are enclosed; note that they are from the listing.
