Headscratcher on the Bay

Ok, this neat old 10" Westinghouse showed up on the bay... Perhaps it has a somewhat optimistic starting bid, but I have never seen one of these in the flesh.

The headscratcher part is that the set is shown displaying a bright vertical line... how can that be... usually if there is no horiz sweep, there is no HV. Oscillator HV supply? Mains HV supply? Yoke turned 90 degrees? What is happening with this set?
I am not associated with this auction,
jr
