GE phones used to be pretty decent-I had a couple at the office that were very nice, loaded with features. Then, about a year ago, the workhorse Panasonic I had at work finally croaked. (that was an AMAZING phone-tough as could be) I found a sale on a GE model and figured by now any cordless should be decent. Wrong-that GE was pure junk. Came with 2 handsets, which doubled its life. Good thing because it was totally shot in less than a year. Now replaced with a new Panasonic.
