Tilted picture? also, white outlines around images?

A while ago I got a 1985 Sears (electrical components made by Sanyo) console TV for free out of the classifieds. This TV is in immaculate condition; the cabinet is perfect, and the picture quality is phenominal. But there is one problem. The picture is slightly tilted. It's not noticeable when watching a show with a normal picture size, but when a widescreen show comes on, it's very obvious.

So are there any ways to fix the image? Because it's driving me nuts.

Also, while I'm posting this here, I also have a 1983 13" RCA XL-100 TV that has a wierd shadow effect on the image. Everything seems to have a grayish white outline to it, and the picture is obscenely sharp. i tried adjusting the tuning, focus, etc. but that has no effect. What causes this? Is there a way to fix it or am I to put up with it?

Even for being over 20 years old, these things are great otherwise. I'd like to see some POS plasma last that long.
