More information on my 6T74 RCA Victor television
While taking time off from repairs on the set, and, working on a phonograph for a forum friend on ARF, I have been gathering up parts chassis' for my tv.
The latest one, KCS 49A, badly rusted, No cabinet, had a prommissing looking tuner. I removed it, did a thorough cleaning, cleaned the contacts with a new contact cleaner I bought at the hardware store, and, lubricated the mechanical end of the tuner. This tuner seems to have alot of primmisse. I see very little to no wear on the contacts, and, it is not scraping. I plan on installing this tuner in my set. I'll be back on it in a couple of weeks.
