You know, I always saw this hobby as a kind of archeological task. Really, in many ways, the 1950's ( the era of my favorite vintage TV sets ) seems like a VERY distant era, a very remote era... the 50's were way so much different than present day time, that they feel like they didn't happened only 50 years agor, but centuries... or even like they were another dimension.
