I checked inside again, and it seems I left a cable disconnected. I reconnected it, replaced the back panel, and...

It works!!!

I want to thank everyone who posted in this thread for helping me bring this set back to life. It took all this to finally bring an HDTV (or big-screen of any kind, for that matter) into our house, and I couldn't be happier.
