I have an ESR meter that I use for quickly spotting dry electrolytics in newer equipment, but I haven't used it on cans in old TVs.
On the LC101, there's a goofy little spring rod thing that you put between the handle and the buttons for long-time forming. I couldn't believe that's what it was for, but it's in the book!!! Does the 102 also have it? I've never used it myself because I'd be afraid I'd forget, and that might result in a loud BANG!, and oily black capaci-fuzz all over the house. Charles
