Smile Sony TV-500U rescued today...

Hi everybody,

I was lookin' around my neighbourhood outdoor recycler today and I was peeking at the pile of old TV's they had in the front... (it was raining a bit too...) and as I approached, what do I see on top of another TV in a weird angle??? an old Sony TV-500U like the one I had over 30 yrs ago...(I think...) it has a few marks on it but considering where it was I think it's not too bad and I can probably fix a few anyway... so I left the TV in my car while I was at work and when I came home I let it dry several hours more... AND.... finally I had the guts to power it up and it works.... WOW.... except for an aging CRT (the pic is still quite good...) and a few noisy controls.... I guess I made a good deal at $5... now if I could only find a KV-5000 like the one I bought after that TV-500U!!!...

Thank you all for reading my post.

Happy listening/watching...
