1964 zenith roundie working!! See VIDEO clip!

Yes, this TV is actually a 1964, not 65 as I described in the previous thread. I never looked at the chassis number but assumed it was a '65 as it had the UHF slide rule dial. This set has the 25LC30 chassis and was optionally UHF equipped. Has the rare 6DV4 nuvistor UHF tuner. Date codes on the original tubes are all 63-52. Spend the day working on this set, got it working like brand new. Needed a few tubes changed, repaired the VHF fine tuner and replaced the O ring belt. repaired the convergence yoke clover. Didnt need to get into big troubleshooting on this set to bring it back to life. The chassis was removed to be detail cleaned. Checked the HOT current, runs cool at 200ma. All original filter lytics are nice and cool too. CRT is in nice shape and is bright.
After repairing the convergence yoke, it had to be reconverged which was a snap. red purity came in perfect all the way around.
Its all done now and ready to watch......Nice sharp color picture!

Ive been experimenting with my camera that has audio/video mode. I took a 28 second clip of the TV in operation and change through the channels. cut and paste this in your search bar to view. it should take about 2 minutes to download to depending on your connection. After watching it, It looks like I need to adjust the horizontal hold.......

I think so too....

I REALLY like the scene in the surplus store, and the restaraunt!!!

(Does anyone else here see what I am talking about? Look at this squashed, pathetic, dried-out sandwich. It should look like that picture up there)

But one of my favorite all-time movie lines is still:::

IS IS SAFE????

Is Putfile a good place to upload? Any massive spam email coming back?

Not if you don't give them your address. Flurl is another good place, they have anonymous uploading. http://www.flurl.com/

I wasn't able to view the video on PutFile - it needs me to have a plugin installed, and I'm not rightly sure which one it needs - Firefox doesn't find it. Is there a way to just _download_ the video? I hate these sites that feel that they have to display the video in a browser frame. What ever happened to actual files?

All of my ranting about the decline of useability and functionality on the internet aside, that set looks great in the pictures. The screenshot of the Warner Bros. logo looks wonderfully crisp and vivid. Good work!

And you were smart enough to get that old bag Walter Cronkite off the screen and click it back to Desperate Housewives! Yeahhh!
