Engineers at Tektronix destroy some display tubes, because they CAN! -no sound.

I have seen a 25V go up before, it was VERY unpleasant...
One second it was there, the next it was GONE.  Why are my ears ringing? :O And what's this cloud of phosphor doing floating in the air?

Great footage!
I have a mint condition Tek 453 dual trace scope that feels absolutely indestructible. I swear I could drop this onto the floor and it would still function. Beautiful old equipment
