GE 5" Spacemaker
I have had this for years. I remember I was excited when I got it. (got it at a thrift store for $1.00) GE cranked out a TON of these in B&W, but didn't realize they had a color version.
I used to use it in the kitchen until analog went off the air, then it went to the "useless" pile in the basement. What I didn't know is these have an external antenna plug. Found the adaptor.. did some rigging.. and now I can use it in the basement. I have it on a shelf above the washer. What CRT did these use? I imagine they were a tad pricey when new.

Years ago, someone gave me one of these that was DOA. After replacing the horizontal oscillator IC, it worked good and I gave it to a family member.

GE got plenty of use out of the Spacemaker name; I was looking through a sales flyer for their 1952 refrigerators and freezers and there it was! That was a real upper-middle-class housewife that got one of these for her kitchen. I have an aunt that had an RCA that she used up until the analog changeover. They don't have cable/dish and it was too much fuss to rig up a converter box on the countertop.

Ah,
I remember my grandparents having the 9" version with on screen tuning indicator on a swivel shelf in the "bedroom" area the camper van! I also remember watching it while going down the highway and then occasionally hitting my head on it when we hit a bump.
