Atomic RCA

Does anyone think this set is worth $40?

That's what the price was, I was going to offer $30 but there was no way to do that on the spot.

Pretty cool looking, the two slide controls have their shafts broken but the knobs are there in a Baggie.

This is a tube set isn't it?

I thought so to, there were no labels on it saying "no user serviceable blah, blah, blah" though, no model number at all that i could see, unless it was underneath the Tulip base that's attached to the TV.

It was quite a price drop from when I first saw it about a year ago priced at $145 or thereabouts.

Most of these sort of quirky (my style) items GET real expensive on ebay....like a couple hundred bucks when the auction ends.

I woulda not thought twice about buying the thing for $40 as long as something REAL bad wasn't wrong with it. This is the sorta thing RIGHT in my crosshairs though....a Small quirky b/w set.
