DeWald BT-100 and RCA 8TS30

I picked up these two sets this evening from a Craigslist ad. The DeWald is an RCA '630 clone, and the 8TS30 IS a '630 (ha ha!). No knobs on the RCA and a few on the DeWald, and a few tubes, one HV cover, and both back panels are missing, but definitely worth saving for parts if nothing else. Below is a picture of the DeWald.

I got around to testing the CRTs in these two sets. The DeWald's tube tests in the low-to-middle good range. The 8TS30's CRT tests like new! Well, way up the Good scale on my B&K 467 anyway, with no warmup except the time it takes to set the controls.

So many projects, so little time...

Congrats! I hope you can patch up the 8TS30. It's one of my favorites

Bob, I am restoring another 8TS30 (when I make time for it) right now. That one was complete and has a nice-condition cabinet. I will post updates when I make more progress on it. I like that design too, definitely nicer than a basic 630TS in my opinion.
