Philco 7008

Greetings all,
I now have a Philco Visual Alignment Generator 7008. It needs cleaning and new power cord before testing. What do you think this might be worth "as is" or working. Considering selling it.
Thanks

Those are pretty cool. I've seen a few sell on ebay in the last couple years in the $50-$150 range as I recall. The one that sold for more had all the manuals, probes etc.

Value is going to be the same here as what you heard over on the ARF site.

Chuck, is the 7008 really practical for everyday use on the older sets, or is it one of those items that people collect mainly for the coolness factor?

Phil,

I don't think I would want to use it as my main test device. But there's no reason it wouldn't work after being restored. Looks nice on the shelf.

I like being able to punch in a frequency on a keypad and not worry if the output is correct or not. I find it easier and faster to use modern test equipment.
