Got in 2 Beauties...

Won 'em off Evilbray...A 1969 Panasonic TR-001, the 1st "Teeny-Tiny" TV w/a 1.5 screen, And a Sony 8-301W that has the owner's manual & service manual w/it...Both work, altho I think I will take the Sony, anyway, down to Terry & have him "Go thru it". Also should be getting in shortly the "Deluxe" Panasonic 1.5" set from 1980 or so that had the leather covering, & AM/FM, & can do NTSC, PAL, & SECAM. I took the TR-001 & my Panasonic CT-101 down to the "Liars Club" this morning & showed 'em off...These guys are all old farmers & tradesmen, they'd never heard of or seen such exotica as these..I'd told 'em I have 'em, I think they about half believed I was spinnin' a BIG tale..."Civilians" are usually universally blown away by such toys, they generally have no idea those types of TVs existed...

Nice finds! I don't have an 8-301... I have never found one in truly nice shape, and hope some day to get a nice one.

And the leather-covered Panasonic B&W 1.5; Very nice set, and I think it's the first model after a 10 year hiatus from '69-'79 when Panasonic didn't make a pocket set.

AND most importantly for those of us who are obsessed with collecting.... These are small enough that we can't run out of room (well, can't reasonably at least), LOL

Just saw your post today. Great sets! I to, have these two sets, the Panny was purchased by me early 1970 when it first came out. You could buy this set as late as 1972 and was in Panny's catalogs in 72. It still works fine today.

I remember the Sony TV 8-301W from grade school. Never could afford one then, bought one last year, did not work well. Just had it restored. You and members can see the restoration, circuit boards, screenshots etc. here:
