CRT Calibration

Copied directly from a post I had on AK.....

Anyone here familiar with how to do this? I've got a Sony KV-27FS100L that has a skewed bottom right corner. (about 1" on the bottom from the left, being pulled up about 1/3")

I've figured out how to get into the Service menu, and adjusted the horizontal and vertical settings. Looks kind of alright, I guess.

Is there a best practice in fixing up one setting first, then a second, etc.?

Also, there are about 500 other settings. Anything in there that I should change?

Not unless you know what it does, there are settings that can make the set unusable and unrecoverable once you save them.

I believe as long as you don't save anything you can simply power off and it will revert.

For reference, the tv has been sitting idle for almost a year, if I break it, not a big deal.

So far, all I've changed is some of the geometry settings.

If anything, google the web for that model and see if you can locate a service manual for it. Those are chock full of this kind of info and often tell you exactly what settings do what... so you should be able to locate if there is one that fixes your issue.

when you change the settings always write down the old values that was stored in the eeprom. that way you can go back and change them to what the factory settings were. steve
