Copper Motorola Back Cover?
I honestly don't know much about vintage TVs, however I recently found this in a basement at an estate sale and it seemed like a piece worth saving, however I am unsure of what model it may have come off of or really any information about it, as all the TVs I've looked at in researching have had wooden or cardboard backs. Any information as to what it is and/or its value would be appreciated and if anyone is interested in it please let me know, I'm definitely interested in selling it. I am willing to ship anywhere in the world as long as you cover shipping. Thank you!

That looks like a bottom cover to me... Probably from a metal table model set of the 50s.

The Motorola Fiberjets chassis is made out of copper,and I'm sure many of their other tvs must have used that material too.
Don't let the scrappers know about it!

Is there any interest in or value to it? As interesting as vintage TVs are I don't collect them or work with them really, so it is of no use to me. I would much rather see it preserved than scrapped, though I can't really just hold on to it forever...

It probably has little value, not likely a set would be missing the bottom, at least not a set someone was restoring.
Most likely it's only Copper plated, probably Steel underneath. It is nice that you thought to ask though, you never know when something is really needed by someone, TV backs for one, they are often missing.
