Crt rca ctc71j

My CTC71J is my favorite. It was my grandmother's and I have tried to keep it in good shape, balancing running it enough but not too much. It always had a stunning picture but the CRT is starting to get tired. It has a 19VEDP22 I never see this CRT NOS anywhere, was it rare? Others on this board have commented about this run of XL100 and how nice the picture was. What was it about these chassis that produced such a nice picture? And finally, what is the best of the current chemicals should I use to clean the tuner. The front (OSC?) sections of these always benefited from a good cleaning.

Thanks for the info....great board.

that set is a real winner.have had several in my life and i can say that they rank right up there, maybe at the top.i have a ctc63 that is my daily watcher.the picture is outstanding.that crt can take a light jolt or two from a rejunvenator.i havent seen that crt anywhere myself.look for a sylvania replacement if you need it.that is an excellent swap.good luck and post pics!
