1984 misubishi stereo tv

decided I needed to run my old tv for a bit, 25" MTS stereo, pretty sure it was one of the 1st strereo tvs to come out, I remember getting it just to watch miami vice (one of the 1st shows to have stereo sound). its been idle for about 1 year, but it fired right up and has a beauty of a pic. there is a tiny bit of shrink on the bottom, so I guess I will need to some day wheel it out and see if there is an adj pot for that. I guess the caps they used were ok. Has a very nice black level and great color.

any repair exp on these sets?

The first Mitsu stereo set I worked on had issues with the stereo sound. There was a 10mfd cap that was open in the MTS decoder. I could rock it with my finger and cause it to work.

Dunno why that sticks in my mind... Probably because I was the 2nd shop that got it for the same problem!

I never had many issues with these sets either.
