In need of a Zenith 9-121-01 video ouput board
Last year the video output board on my CCII went out (fried the socket). I managed to find a board on ebay that was still sealed in its box and had a "D" at the end of the part number. I'm assuming this was just a revision number.
About a month of used I started getting bright green splotches and flashes all over the screen. That would happen occasionally, so I ignored it. It then started to change from normal color to too much green and then too little green. It was as if the green driver was having problems remaining stable. Also, the G2 seems to do something similar as the screen gets a light raster at times when the video goes black during scene transitions (similar to when you put it in setup and rotate the G2 and see the raster). I tested the tube and it was good, so I'm assuming it's the video output board. I have reflowed the solder, used deoxit on the pots, but it was of no help. I figure something goes out of spec when the board warms up, etc. Since I'm at the end of what I can test for, it is time (again) to locate another video output board. So if anyone has one sitting around, let me know what you want for it. Thanks in advance.

You need to follow the CRSP matrix for Zenith Modules - see this thread for some images of the CRSP manual - last image has the 9-121 info.

I managed to find a board on ebay that was still sealed in its box and had a "D" at the end of the part number. I'm assuming this was just a revision number. I was merely helping with that - nothing else. You didn't mention your chassis number, so I couldn't determine if I had a module to help you with. Without the chassis number, it would be futile. I do have some Zenith CC modules. I helped the OP in the thread I mentioned - he got two modules from me. Jes' trying to help! Cheers,

Okay, now I understand. The original module was a 9-121-01 (no letter at the end). I was told that the D on the replacement meant it was a revised module and would work fine with my TV (and it did for a month or so), so I purchased it. I looked identical to the one it was replacing.
Anyway, my TV is model: J1938W3 and was made in Sept of '77. Hope this helps. Thanks!
