1976 Magnavox
are these things real wood or composite material? looks are nice but pretty pricey any issues with chassis on them?

By this time, probably plastic and particleboard. The chassis is probably the T995 fold down modular chassis with 25V delta gun CRT. That chassis was probably the best Magnavox solid state chassis; but, $800? They must be smoking crack!

As far as chassis problems; I've seen loose and/or burned module connectors and I think this chassis used one of those 4 lead paper in oil safety caps in the HV circuit that Magnavox used in most of it's color sets during the '70's and early '80's. If it shorts, it will trip the CB. If it blows open and breaks it's interlock feature, you won't have HV. If it opens and the interlock fails to break, the HV will skyrocket and the CRT will be ruined. The last Magnavox set that I had (T809) with a shorted safety cap ended up getting a regular HV sprague orange drop cap in it's place.

I would consider it if it was much less but for that price it better be mostly solid type construction and perfect working not too far to fetch with a truck either.

Years ago, I had a Magnavox upright console TV/tuner/cassette/phonograph combination from around '84 and it used, IIRC, the 25C5 chassis. That was probably one of their last upright models. And, it was heavy as lead.

My limited experience with Magnavox color sets begins and ends with the C3 (or C9?) chassis 19" sets. These were knob tuned NAP sets from about 1983-1984. I remember them having quite a nice picture. In-line gun totally SS chassis. One thing about the two I owned was that the crt's seemed to be pretty strong even though the rest of the set looked overused.
