Disgusting. Do they even realize there are two different sets pictured? I guess they all look alike to that kind.

An RCA and a Muntz. What a shame.

He says:
"the picture of the lighter fish tank is to show how it will look complete with water and background. The darker brown is the one up for auction."
So he is keeping the Motorola (Muntz?) and selling the RCA... guess the "wide screen" look is better for these conversions.

What a tool. I want to meet the asshole who thought the idea of gutting old sets was a great idea...oh yeah...how ironic, how kitschy. Dont people realize that there isnt an endless supply of these sets.

I can't believe that eBay TV fishtanker wrecked a 1949-a 1949 RCA 12-inch roundie for a dumb fishtank. Those 1949 RCA Roundies are very hard to come by now and are very scarce indeed. Especially a 12 inch console! It's no wonder I positively do not mention any of my TVs to the general public unless I trust them and they don't fishtank TVs. A 60+ year-old TV now gone-disgusting and very sad and how some people show no respect for us collectors who work very hard to find these TVs.

We should take revenge on these fishtankers by taking flat panel sets and turning them into ant farms.

You guys can hate me for it if you want, but...I just sold my '61 Halolite on ebay to a fishtanker. Well, I've been trying for years (years!) to get one of you guys to come and take it (take it! As in free!) but nobody would, and this woman is paying me good money. I can't say I like it, but at some point folks have to put their money where their mouth is...
