Found a 1976 Panasonic Ranger
I picked up one of those Faux Military, Panasonic Ranger-505 portables today.
Built in July of 1976, I didn't realize these were that old. It's really clean and appears to work fine though I didn't hook up a signal to it, came with the AC cord and 12V lighter socket plug, all for $10.

I've never seen that model, very neat. I have an "army" looking one from '75. It has a carry handle on the other side and resembles a canteen or whatever.
