Some hybrid/solid state Romanian tv sets
Since Romanian tv's are quyte exotique to much people around here, I decided to put some pics with some hybrid/solid state Romanian tv sets.
Sport (portable set): http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=639 Cromatic 02: http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=515 (this was a bigger brother of Telecolor; like the Telecolor it had problems with the colour decoder and the line output transformer - the transformer was too small for the needs). Olt (Olt is a river in Romania): http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=516 Modern (hybrid set): http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=662 Lux S (hybrid): http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=663 Venus 4 (hybrid) http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=660 (Venus' was one of the poorest Romaian tv sets) Venus 5 (hybrid) http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=663 Modern (hybrid): http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=4922 (like Venus, Modern was one of the poorest Romanian tv sets) Olt 251: http://proradioantic.ro/index.php?x=item&id_p=4792 (2 meant that had U.H.F. too, 5 = 5 integrated circuits, 1 = nr. of model) |

Hi Telecolor 3007,
can you identify which sets of these list are color and which are b/w? I only count one color tv set. Kind regards, Eckhard |

Cromatic 02 is the only colour tv. The rest are black and white.

When did y'all get color ? PAL or SECAM ? Did the Combloc countries get color earlier or later than the rest of Europe ?

U.S.S.R. got color tv in 1967 or 1968, G.D.R. (East-Germany) in 1969 and the most of the rest of the countryes in the Comunist Block in the '70's (Romania got color televsion in 1983
, so no Romanian color hybrid sets). In Romania we had P.A.L. (this was a political decisios... the U.S.S.R. had SECAM (like all countreyes from Comunist Europe - except former Yugoslavia, whic had P.A.L.) |

Thanks for sharing those links!
Interesting looking sets indeed. The "Modern" TV shown with its single printed circuit board and the valve layout, looks almost the same as one of our NZ made Philips black and white model (F2ZN) from the mid 1960's. Cheers Glen
