Neat 1973 Curtis Mathes newspaper ad
I was doing some searching and stumbled across some archived newspaper ads in Google. These particular ads are for Curtis Mathes TV's and stereos. You can pan around in the ad with your mouse... actually... can look thru the entire newspaper.
Later, I will look some more... I am curious to see just how many newspapers are archiving their old papers on the internet. I'm sure we could find many electronics ads this way with various brands, models, and prices. http://news.google.com/newspapers?ni...g=4724,4753721

Had some time to look into some of these archives. Wow... there's lots of stuff there! Just for kicks, I decided to try a small subscription with the Chicago paper and take a look see. There's lots of articles talking about vintage color in the beginning. I did a search for Motorola color tv and it turned up all kinds of stuff. I've only looked at a couple so far... this article is for Motorola 19 inch color sets.

Great article on the 23", goes well with the Motorola thread in the early color section.

Wow....Just a couple of pages later there's an ad for Zeniths and then Philcos!
Type in any manufacturer in the search bar and you'll find ads for whatever you're looking for! I found a 1967 Magnavox ad for example.... http://news.google.com/newspapers?id...magnavox&hl=en |
