Another Zenith console at Chicago area estate sale

I thought I would post this if somebody is interested, I feel bad about that Space Command console I posted that Mark didn't get, I hope nobody saw it on here and went to get it before him.

I'm pretty sure this is a Zenith, probably from the late 1960s? It doesn't look like a Space Command though.
The sale is in Evanston, just to the north of Chicago, it starts on Friday, I may go to see what else is there, but have no room for this set.

I spotted that too. I'm picking it up, so it'll be safe and sound! Looks like a '69 model, should hopefully be a 16Z8C50 chassis

It looks like the '68 I got from you Doug. Just in a smaller cabinet. Go ahead and get this one, I only want a Space Command 600 from that era. Did you grab that last one? I won't be mad, just wondering because you sent me that email that I didn't see until after I got home from the sale. It all works out anyways, I got off my lazy ass and fixed the truck, now I can go get that Silvertone and Zenith B/W this weekend in Cudahy!!

That one should be a '69 as it has the chrome eschuceon behind the tuning knob. 68's are a little more plain. Id really like to find a zenith with the 14A9C50 chassis. There is a very slight possibility that this is a '70 model.

As for the 600, I wasn't able to get it like I planned. If it was similar to the one I already had like max said, I figured I'd let you go grab it anyway. Hopefully someone else here was able to save it. Me going to estate sales has been somewhat of a challange this year with work anyway. I should be able to go to the evanston sale though, so I have something to look forward to.

Huh, I was hoping you got it. That sucks. Good luck getting this one. I came up with an idea that makes the "plain" '68 less plain, the panel behind the controls comes off with one screw and then can be traced on different color paper and then inserts can be made and put behind it. They look cool through the tinted panel. They're kinda like cell phone skins LOL. I'll post a pic when I post the thread about the set.
