Interesting clipping i've found

I was looking through an old scrapbook that i had made up in the early 1980's and found this clipping that i had saved. It was from a National Enquirer contest for who had the most tv sets. The winner was Jerry Grulkey from Vallejo, CA and at that time had 134 sets. I often wondered if he was still around and still had the sets. Its funny that i now have several of the sets in this picture. Sorry for the quality but afterall it is a newspaper clipping.

Jerry is still around. His wife has been selling miscellaneous stuff from his collection on Ebay, and is trying to sell his entire collection. Most of it is rather common late 40s stuff.

I thought was the only one out there with the TV collecting "disease" , till I got on the internet and found my way here .
Collecting old radio's is accepted , but I still get the odd person that look at me like im a nut for wanting to collect old TV's .
They always say, "But it's black and white , why would you want to watch it in black and white ?"
