This issue has caused the delay of DVD release of many TV shows. I liked a show called My So Called Life that used a lot of alternative music. I read the DVD was delayed and several songs were deleted because of failure to agree on copyright fees.
Some of these shows and DVD have a small audience and they can't afford to pay big copyright fees. I'm keeping my old VCR tapes of a lot of my favorite shows of the 80's and 90's because then you can see the original shows and music, granted you need to fast forward the commercials. Cheers, Snade

We had a copy of My So Called Life on DVD. I don't recall any music changes from the original show. It was a great show, well, except for that weird Christmas one. My friend's mother still makes it a tradition to screen that episode during the holidays, and weep as Ricki Vasquez is sent out to live in the bitter streets.
