If you have a DVD player and can find one of the test discs that are out there like Video Essential or Avia, you could display a croshatch pattern and really see how bad the distortion is. On Video Essentials, there's another geometry pattern that shows the percentage of overscan on your set. Typically, you should see 10% or less.If you can see 0% to less than 5%,then you could make size adjustments to the horizontal and even vertical.

That's just a suggestion. More than likely, there is a problem with your set and making the size adjustments isn't going to fix whatever issue your set has.The repair facility surely should have seen the problem.

I have no personal exposure to any of the gaming systems out there. Does the system you have include RF outputs also? If it does, you could also make the connection to the RF input on your tv and you would know if the problem shows up ther also.If the system does not have an RF output and you have an old VCR on hand, you could connect the video cable from the game system to the VCR and then use the RF from the VCR to the set.If it does show the problem on the RF input, you could then take the set back and show them.

I don't know much, but sounds kinda like a HV regulation issue.
