31" Zenith Digital System 3 console

For fans of the Digital System 3, (I'm not) here's one for your viewing pleasure. It's a 31" console from the late '80's (date is gone). A friend of mine, who claims he gave $1600 for this TV, gave it to me a couple of weeks ago. The vertical circuit had problems and the CRT was weak. I replaced a bunch of caps in the vertical circuit and rejuventaed the green gun and it now has a watchable picture. I have an idea that it's not going to have a good picture for long. I rejuvenated the tube several years ago for the original owner so I doubt it will hold for long now. When I put the beast back together, I noticed that some of the cable channels were not present. I wacked the cabinet and they came back in. I know the tuner has loose connections; but, I'm not bothering with it! It has A/V input jacks and whoever gets it (assuming I can actually give it away) can use an old VCR for a tuner. Yes, I want this heavy beast gone real bad! Come check my local SA in a week. A system 3 with a CRT on its last legs, tuner problems, and it's a big heavy hard to move space gobbling console? Oh sure... I've always wanted one of those... <sarcasm>

I know. I've actually tried to give away 25" consoles with no takers! This one is either going to the SA or the side of the road very soon! I need the space for more pressing projects.
