Lookee what I did!

I'm so proud. Bustin' my buttons, as they say.

This is the Heathkit GR100 I got a couple of months ago from ebay. Besides the cabinet, which was a little bashed in shipping, the set had a couple of problems: only showed green (ick!) and had no horizontal lock. I posted several messages about this some time ago. Anyhoo, this is it as received (I took it out of the cabinet):

Part II

Okay. So after I replaced a few caps and tubes, I still had nothing. While poking around the sync board, I found some weird resistor-to-capacitor connection that that was disconnected and just looked plain funky. I couldn't find it in the schematic, but I said what the hell and held the two ends together--horizontal lock! Soldered 'em good and tight.

I also replaced the coax cables going to and from the tuners. They had gotten sliced somewhere along the line.

Here's what I came up with:

Final part. Maybe.

Tim was nice enough to lend me his CRT rejuvenator ( which I haven't returned yet. Whoops! I'll get it off shortly!) to blast the blue gun into submission. Turns out I got green and red, but had to wait a good 1/2 hour for the blue to kick in. Unfortunately, the rejuvenation didn't do anything. So I have to be patient; after about 20 minutes, I get full color.
Did a convergence which I totally screwed up, so I redid it a couple of days later. Turned out pretty nice, though I still need to fine-tune the dynamic convergence.
Fixed the cabinet, added some legs and voila! Here she is.
One little detail still needs to be worked out--does anyone have the VHF tuning knob for the lil' hummer? Or know where I can get one?
Thanks to all of you for all of your help--I couldn't have done it without you! AKers are the BEST!
Here's a picture of Doris in Pillow Talk. It's a VHS tape, so that's why the top is a little bendy looking:
