Im considering bidding on a fada 899. What kind of project will this make?

How about availability of parts?

This will be my first roundie project...

I'm pretty sure it's an an RCA 630 chassis so parts are easy.
It's a complex chassis though so it could be a project if a simple recap doesn't fix it.

The one on eBay does look like a 630 clone. This article will give you some idea what restoration might involve.

If you don't pick it up, I strongly recommend shipping the CRT in a separate container, as explained in the article.
