Zenith CC2 on the blink...

My daily watcher Zenith CC2 just developed problems this morning. I have no audio, no signal at all and all I get is a pinkish washed-out raster on the screen. The model number is missing but it's a 17KC55 chassis and it was manufactured in Sept. 1978. I'm more experienced with tube sets than solid state, so I'm a little bit lost here. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's not uncommon for parts of the ground in the IF module to become loose. You can remove the module from the set and check it out.

Also, the same can be said if this has the varactor tuner. Also, check regulated power supply board to the right of the varactor assembly. It is typical for the connectors to tear loose from the circuit board, killing the tuner and parts of the IF.
