If Bales doesnt win an Oscar for this is unfair.....I am telling you, put this at the top of your viewing list....

I left the theatre tired and with a knot in my stomach......Great acting all around!!!!

Cool. Just saw an interview with Peter Fonds plugging it. I enjoyed Bale in American Psycho. Always thought he was underutilzed.

have you seen him in Batman, The Machinist, Rescue Dawn..the guy does tremendous work everytime!

I thought that this was an excellent movie ruined by the last act. I left the theater feeling a bit like I'd discovered that Darth Vader was actually a crusty old white dude.

The end was a bit too much running and shooting...especially for a guy with a wooden leg.....But at the time, when I was at the movie and right after, I didnt give it a second thought...although I did tell my wife : If anyone with a prosthesis jumps like that, he would be passed out in pain from hip shattering...

I got the sense it was just the very end of his "leg" not the whole thing. The ending is really amazing. The dialog was really well done, and the acting from everyone was perfect.

I "got" the ending. The townsfolk in that town, deserved what they got though.

Will be seeing this again.
