Anybody seen "The Dresden Files"?

Pretty good supernatural/crime drama on Sci-Fi. The title character, Harry Dresden is a modern-day wizard living in Chicago, taking on cases the police can't quite figger out. His police buddy is Detective Murphy, the typically gorgeous-but-tough-as-any-man policewoman. His other buddy is "Bob", some sort of sarcastic, disembodied spirit who helps him over the difficult ones. It comes on 9 pm on Sunday on Sci-Fi. If you liked stuff like "Kolchak", its prolly worth a look. "Eureka"'s funnier, but "Dresden" has its moments, too.

I like Dresden too Sandy, I was beginning to think I was the only one watching it! It's just serious enough that I don't find myself shaking my head every few minutes, and just fantasy enough to be fun...

I watch it. Its OK I guess but I'm giving it a chance to come into it's own. The first few episodes of a new series are always weak as the characters and writers get to know the roles better. Its got potential to be cool I think. Pretty much every show I've grown to like has had a semi lousy first season so I'm gonna pronounce it too early to tell.

You forgot to mention, Bob lives in his own skull.

Yeah, I watch it and find it pretty enjoyable.

Lightweight on the horror & more towards the humor.

Sort of an adult, tamer Buffy TVS.

So far, it works for me.

Kolchalk with a sense of humor or Harry Potter grows up and goes into business for himself.

It's not so much scare/horror as much as mysteries involved with the supernatural with a touch of humor thrown in. I like the fact they keep the effects to a minimum.

In a way it reminds me of "The Highlander" TV series in that it involves a well developed, complex, unknown ,underground society that has it's own rules and regulations that operates concurrently, yet unbeknownst, to the rest of the world. ... and Harry is the intermediary.

Good fun and I can dance to it. I'll give it a five.

...almost makes me want to read the books.
