With the fun we've had with best grade B scifi flicks I thought this would be a good time to bring this one up.
It's not a movie, but rather a TV series but I think Red Dwarf needs to be included in the list. The series was wildly uneven but with features like special effects by Peter Wragg of "Thuinderbirds are Go!" fame and plot lines like how Lister is his own father, 'white holes' that basically poop out all the matter sucked in black holes and a computer that continues to break down over a span of 3 million years that it becomes a blonde woman, well, damn I love it.
Do yourself a favor and start with series 5. http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...ductId=5738852 The birthing factor for the show was difficult and it's better to go back to it later.

Holoship takes a stab (in the eye) of Star Trek next gen.
Terrorform is Solaris in the wrong hands.
The Inquisitor is a good example of time travel horror.
Quarantine, is well, the deadly Mr Fibble will make an impression
And Back to Reality in very Ray Bradbury-ish.

I love the Red Dwarf series, it's hilarious and even more so with the British accent! We get Red Dwarf Marathons on the local PBS station when they are fund raising. Works for me.

We're big Red Dwarf fans at my house!

My very, very favorite episode was "White Hole".

The "Grant Naylor" books are good, too... and both Rob Grant & Doug Naylor have written post "Red Dwarf" books that I've enjoyed. I am always on the lookout for new ones when we go to the UK.
