Will i have to use them to adjust the various settings? Or can i take it apart with the power unplugged and then toggle the knobs with my fingers after turning the power back on? Thanks

You can find plastic screwdrivers sets online (shipped right to your house). and if youre lucky Radio SHack (they used to have them, may still). They arent as hard to find as you would think.
As a sidenote these guys on here are an awesome crew. I lurk a lot and dont post too often, but with the information ive got here i bought an old radio off ebay (from the 1950's) and restored it to working. Im a mechanic with almost no real electronic knowledge outside of car computer systems/electronic engine controls. These guys are incredible in what theyve seen, what they know, and what they are able to explain (as you have seen already). Once i got the old radio working i was hooked, and ive done 3 since. I wish you luck and hopefully you will stick round here and be part of the AK crew.
