I went back to the thrift store today and got a 1950's Hotpoint double oven range for $40.00 plus there was a 40's RCA phono/radio console for $5 and also saw an early 1970's GE 18" portable color set, plus working large refrigerated air window units for $20.00. I think the fact that my donation got discarded earlier was probably an anomaly...the thrift store really came through for me today.
