When I saw it in the theater I thought it was laugh-out-loud awful; horrible effects, no discernable plot, totally over the top. But I saw it on DVD a little while back and the 2nd time thru I thought it was merely bad.
No offense meant. I was entertained by it. And I agree Townsend was better than I had expected (although no Johnny Depp by any stretch of the imagination
).
