The black plastic on the sides is kinda round.  Since he's starting at $1.00, he might just be going for the "laugh" factor as I have in previous eBay ads:

All remote functions work. Good picture & sound (but should be recapped of course). Photo finish is starting to flake a bit, and there is a small wood chunk missing from the upper left corner. Both should be easy fixes. I'm only selling this one because I found a blonde version, so the brunette gets the heave-ho, just like a woman.
