Thanks! It was the first "micro" color set, and was actually first shown in '72. They were $595. Also it was the first battery-powered color set. I've had a few of them. There is a nearly identical one that shows up all the time, and is not near as collectable; the KV-5100. It was from 1978 plus or minus, and has the same cabinet and knobs, just a different power supply board inside. This one I just got is missing all the accessories such as the battery case, travel cover for the front of the TV, and seems to have no box or paperwork. But hey; for $40 I won't complain!
This is a link to the one I just sold. (I had a friend list it for me because I was too busy). I said I got $285, and now I realize that included $35 shipping & special packing per the buyer). I guess I was trying to make myself feel better saying $285 sale, because I think I had paid over $300 for it including the accessories.
