I actually worked on a crab boat (The Eskimo Princess) for a full year back in 1979/80 up in Kodiak, Alaska. I never crabbed out in the Berring Sea like those goofball's on deadliest catch. We only had a 60 foot steel crab boat and just fished around the island of Kodiak. My brother actually still lives up in Kodiak, he's been there since 1971. He was working as a purchasing agent at one of the big canneries in town and got me a job on the maintenance crew.
