In my childhood, I never forgot a "Sperrmüll"-day. I took my school bag and filled it with the tubes, which I removed from the tv sets. If I had the luck, that somebody transport a tv set, I brought it home. Sometimes, I used my bicycle to bring them home. This was in the 1970's. The TV sets were mostly from the 1950's and 1960's in that days.
Today, the Sperrmüll-Day was repealed. When the people have old TV sets and so on, the phone the municipality, and they make a private date for taking it away.
But today, we have the electronic-recycling day, which is better than Sperrmüll. The next will be next friday
