Yeah, these are pretty rare, but they're nothing too amazing when it comes to the television side of things, since it's not so much a TV with a computer built in, as it is a computer with a TV tuner card. It's basically just a Performa 550 with a TV tuner card and painted black. The display just a computer monitor - for a while Apple was using Sony tubes in their better model displays.
So, as a TV repairman, you wouldn't have seen one. If anything went kafluey - and it shouldn't have, these machines were very well made - it would have gone back to the Apple dealer.
