The service access on thic TV is wonderful. I'm amazed at how easy it is to get the TV apart without having extra screws when you are done putting it back together. The TO-3 transistors are easy to remove and easy to get at. The boards fit in the edge connectors so are easy to remove and have the wire connections labeled on the silkscreening. I'm replacing all the electrolytics with modern ones. Some of them were bulging and some wern't. I like the look of old electrolytics, but they are usually the issue in these old transistor TVs. I'm awaiting on more electrolytics, especially axial leaded ones on the CRT PCB.

The diodes used in the flyback, X32, X33, and X34, according to the Sams, can they be replaced with 1N4007 diodes? X32 is a damper, X33 is a 85V rectifier, and X34 is a boost rectifier. Seems like replacing them with 1N4007 diodes would be fine, but I just wanted to ask and make sure.

Thanks.

Jonathan
