I'm restoring a 1949 Admiral combo - 12" Model 4H18. Video isn't getting through. I took the can apart - the resistor is good. I replaced the cap in the can and still no luck. Let me know if you have a parts chassis with an extra - I'd really appreciate it - or any other suggestions for troubleshooting. Thanks - Gary

I have the 1950's Admiral 24R12, which is a model or two newer. I have the Sams but your part number isn't used in mine. Do you get sound (and is it an intercarrier set (sets that pick off 4.5MHz FM sound carrier off the video detector))? I would guess that the coils in your device are open. Sometimes the rosin used for tinning the fine wire of the coil will corrode and eat thru that wire right at the terminals inside the can. If so carefully reconnect the fine wire.
Be aware that your set probably uses an IF frequency of 20 to 26MHz (like mine) and not the more modern 41 to 47MHz IF. So a transformer from a modern set thus wont work.
